The loudest message we got was around finding time to play competition golf. Unfortunately, many of us golfers are finding it harder and harder to line up time to play in a club competitions. With the SOGO Golf App we have bought the competition to you and let you compete at any time on any course! Golfers want to challenge themselves by testing their ability against their peers as well as improving their Official Handicap as their game improves. 

EVERY ROUND IS NOW A COMPETITION ROUND

SOGO Golf is an App that allows you to submit every round you play, including social rounds, to our SOGO National Leaderboards. Using SOGO Golf will Make Every Round Count™ as an official competition round! 

SOGO Golf holds both 9 and 18 hole competitions so when you play 18 holes the front and back 9 scores are also submitted to our 9 hole leaderboard as well as the total round going towards the 18 hole competitions.

SOGO hosts the following competitions nationally:

Weekly 9 & 18 - Your best score during the week

Monthly 9 & 18 -  Your best 3 scores during the month

Annual 9 & 18 - Your best 5 scores during the year

UPDATE YOUR HANDICAP WITH EVERY ROUND

At SOGO Golf we believe that just because you cant find the time to play in Saturday Club Competitions shouldn't mean you cant get great value out of your Club Membership and keep your handicap up to date with every round of golf you play. SOGO Golf has been accredited by Golf Australia to upload scores played on SOGO Golf golf to your Golf Link handicap.

To become a Gold User of SOGO Golf and unlock the handicap upload feature  your home club will be need to allow SOGO Golf to upload Conforming Social Scores for their members.

A simple round setup process leads into a scoring section which is easy to use and lets you quickly enter each hole score.  Enter your score after each hole to track your progress against the national live leaderboard.  Turn your phone sideways for a traditional landscape scorecard view.  Or put your phone in your bag and enter your scores after your round.  It’s your choice -  SOGO lets you play your way.

This is where SOGO really hits it down the middle.  We have patented safeguards to improve on the club competition experience and make sure that every round you play can now be a competition round against fair scores.

Using the technology built into your phone as well as review technology built into the SOGO system every round is tracked using GPS and quality control metrics.

We host Weekly, Monthly and Annual leaderboards and reward consistently good golf. Our Monthly Leaderboard shows your best 3 rounds and the Annual Leaderboard shows your best 5 rounds so one big round by a high handicapper wont be enough to place them at the top. It will take 3 or more consistent rounds to make it into the Monthly SOGO Winner Circle

GOLFERS ALWAYS PLAY OFF A CURRENT HANDICAP

.  Because SOGO allows social rounds to now be considered as competition rounds we have designed a handicap system that makes sure your handicap is always current. In consultation with Golf Australia we developed a system that calculates a handicap using a golfers previous social  rounds as well as the competition rounds in Golf Link. This handicap calculation process means that golfers who cant find the time for club comp days will still have an up to date handicap that reflects their current level of skill.
